GMP For OPD to RBI Pensioners 70+; Developments about TPA cards for spouse.

According to the claims made by M/s Health Insurance TPA of India Ltd. Noida (North & East Zone),  cards pertaining to pensioners have been dispatched  to all concerned.
Cards for the spouse have not yet been dispatched by the TPA so far.The reason –  the data from Central office has not been received  yet. The cards for the spouse will be sent as soon as the Validation Form is activated in C.O./ by TPA.

This reflects  a sad state of affairs in RBI and offices about the maintenance of data of Pensioners and their spouses. A short cut in the form of ‘Validation form for activation’ has been introduced to update the data in the bank, proper maintenance of which , in fact, is  the sole responsibility of the employer elsewhere.
However, members may note to lodge claims for the spouse on the basis of their own cards and the TPA is bound to settle the same .
In the circumstances it is in the interest of the members to submit the Validation form to
i) sudhirdongre@rbi.org.in
ii) rbipensionersopd@hitpa.co.in – the email address as given on the back of your TPA card.

Do not use the  Email address rbiretireeopd@hitpa.co.in given in the forwarding letter of the TPA used for sending the cards. It is non-functional and the emails sent on this address have been  received back.

Members may also use customerservice@hitpa.co.in for updating any information Or Helpline Toll free number 18001303600 in the matter.

Hard copy of ‘Validation Form for activation’ may also be sent along with the first claim.

In a recent meeting RBREA Chandigarn  had with TPA, the following points emerged which may be noted.

  1. Claims may be made within 60 days of completion of treatment.
  2. Claims tendered are required to be reimbursed within 15 days of receipts of claim form.
  3.  Clarification, if any,  maybe sought by  the TPA within 3 working days.
  4. TPA Card/ UHID number are same.

In  Delhi and at other centres, no such meeting has been reported so far.
