GMP for OPD to RBI Pensioners(70+)-Renewal- January 1,2020 to December 31,2020
RBI has renewed GMP for OPD to RBI Pensioners by their circular dated December 31, 2019. Policy Period is – January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020. Details are given below:

There is no change in the sum insured for various grades. The Policy covers pensioners and their spouses and the sum insured is on a combined basis.
6. List of appliances. – 27 (but not limited to)
There is no change in the format of claim form and other details such as UHID no., policy number etc. NO TPA cards are required.
Members shall receive a welcome kit within one month.
No intimation of treatment to be provided. All the documents to be provided within 60 days from the date of treatment (to be read with
Q No. 39 of FAQs) taken by member or spouse by submitting original documents, which should include prescription from registered medical practitioner, bills/receipts and medical reports. In cases where original prescriptions and investigation / pathological reports are required for further consultation with the doctor, self-attested copies of the same will be accepted for reimbursement on the basis of requests received from beneficiaries. Repudiation of claims shall be the sole discretion of Employee Health Section, HRMD.
The Insurance Policy* will be administered by TPAs at all the centres. All claims pertaining to pensioners will be settled by the designated TPAs irrespective of the place where treatment is taken.
Pensioners attaining age of 70 years during the month will be added in Group Mediclaim Policy from the first of the succeeding month and in the event of the death of a pensioner, spouse will continue to be covered.
