यादों का संगम-Retirees get together – organised by RBI New Delhi.

New Delhi office arranged  a  get together for the RBI retirees at Sarojini Nagar Grounds on 11th November,18 to facilitate submission of life certificate, noting of evidence regarding declared savings and for TPA/MAF issues.
The unique event was organised on a massive scale for the first time at the initiative of  RD New Delhi (Sh. E .E. Kartik) .  More than 1000 retirees are estimated to have  attended the function.

There were large number of RBI staff volunteers attired in maroon T shirts who were helping  the retirees.  They were courteous and eager to help the needy.  While guiding the retirees for registration and filling the life certificate, their (volunteers) humility, dedication, and efficiency was noteworthy.

Separate desks were set up for guidance and for sorting out problems faced by retirees with TPAs. with regard to OPD scheme and GMP under MAFs.
Senior retirees above 90  were were honored  on stage by RD who presented a shawl to each of  them. They remained on the dais till the function concluded.

Shri E. E.  Kartik, R.D., New Delhi Office while welcoming  the retirees said that what the Reserve Bank is today is due to the efforts made earlier by the retirees, when they were in active service. He further  explained the recent developments / activities at New Delhi Office.

 

CGM-in-charge HRMD Sh. Ashok Sarangi who was chief guest was present with  a team from Central office.
Shri Sarangi, as Chief Guest,  addressed the retirees and said that he had never seen such a huge  gathering of retirees in other offices.  Although such meetings have been organised at some centers (like Nagpur and Bengaluru), these were at the behest of local retirees associations. It  is for the first time that Bank has organised such an event at a large scale at Delhi.

The gathering provided retirees  a long awaited opportunity  to meet the old colleagues in person, and share and revive the fading memories of their time while serving the model Institution. Needless to say, all retirees were extremely happy and they seemed to have defied the years.

RBI Pensioners Forum, New Delhi, thanked the Bank for arranging the event.
Memento (Magic Cup) and copy of booklet that contained FAQs and some already circulated details of OPD scheme was  given to the participants. Excellent arrangements for lunch were made at the venue for all the participants.

We are thankful to the  Bank and the staff at New Delhi office for extraordinary efforts made in  inviting the retirees at one place and for arrangements made in this regard.
With hope that this यादों का संगम will continue in the years ahead.
