Pre 97 RBI retirees are getting revised pension only on account of the stay granted by Mumbai high court -WP2403 of 2009-,although the bank had issued letters for making recoveries and in absence of the court orders helpless retirees were left with no alternative but to submit to huge recoveries . No organisation other than the court could have stalled the recoveries, and , as a consequence cause of updating Pension would have been lost for ever.

As retirees’ forum we wish to apprise her about the continuous and decade long demand of one time option for pension to about 2600 RBI retirees (PF optees). Subordinate Legislature Committee had recommended that the issue ought to be under the domain of RBI Management. The Ministry for Finance was seized of the matter and we understand that approval was about to be granted . But as model code of conduct was enforced, the final orders were withheld.
