Anomaly set right for retirees whose pension was calculated partly on pre-revised pay and partly on revised pay

Bank has set right the anomaly by proportionately applying multiplication factor where pension was worked out on different pay scales. Earlier the basic pension was revised by applying one multiplication factor as given in circular dated 7th march 2019, although pension was calculated on two different pay scales.

Date of retirementBasic Pension revised by applying multiplication factor
1-1-1986 to 31-10-20023.63
1-11-2002 to 31-10-2007 2.44
1-11-2007 to 31-10-20121.76

As many of such retirees had represented to central office for setting right the anomaly which had resulted in more pension to those retired on
pre-revised pay than those who retired 3-4 months after the revision.

Now the bank has advised Samadhan to revise pension of those who retired prior to 1-11-2012 by calculating pension partly on pre-revised pay and partly on revised pay . Such retirees who are covered by the above circular shall be paid the difference between pension paid and pension revised by the method given here.
The retirees concerned may ensure that needful has been done by the Bank in their case.
