Crucial meeting with M/o Finance to-day -Pension updation
A silent protest demonstration was held at RBI New Delhi today morning at 8AM against M/o finance’s delaying tactics regarding decade old demand for revision of pension with every wage revision and opening of pension option.
A large number of retirees and employees gathered at the main gate.
RBI Governor Sh. Raghuram Rajan, sprang a surprise as he himself approached the placard holders directly and started explaining his position vis-a vis the government.
He said “I have been personally looking into the matter as the delay is troubling me as well. He explained that when the issue was nearly its final solution, the officials / Finance Minister changed. This required fresh efforts and persuasion.He still hoped for the best and said that my efforts in the matter are still going and let us hope for the best !
At that point when the writer of the blog pointed out : ” Sir, we(retirees) are also doing our best to survive!,” he replied : ” I have full concern for the retired employee and understand their problems.
Let us wait and hope for the best!”
The delegation from the UFRBOE met the Governor before the start of the board meeting.
Afterwards, they addressed the gathering.
It was informed that a crucial meeting with M/o finance is to be held today at M/o finance office. Governor, DG, and officials from HRDM will participate in the meeting.
Sh. Subedar President of AIRBEA, said that let us wait for the outcome of the meeting today. He also said that enough ‘Gandhigiri’ has been followed by RBI employees and retirees, and even if things do not move now, we will have to resort to agitation instead of Silent protests.
The outcome of the meeting scheduled today may be known by next week.
“Let us too hope for the best!” so says Governor.

According to me all big post personality are very much diplomat and they given the answer to us very sweet . However we have no choice .Regarding Medical facility ,are the hand of RBI Management. They are only blaming the GOVERNMENT . .
Good efforts being made by the retired employees/officers. Let it be continued till the goal is achieved.

Let us know regarding outcomes of meeting with ministry of finance & Pension updation.
We have been eagerly waiting to hear the outcome of the Meeting of the Governor with MOF on Pension. Alas! even two and half months after the so called crucial meeting with MOF on Pension Issues, nobody, not even the Bank did not tell us sofar what was the outcome.
It is more than six months since the Governor met the FM on Pension issue .We neither know what is the gist of discussions nor the out come of it.Does anybody know what happened.
We are grateful that amount for medical tests has been increased though it is a meagre one. Hope that we get pension up gradation as well.Thanks to the RBI governor who is considering our request.Please keep me updated about the further developments.
