Pension Updation- Demonstration At RBI New Delhi
About 500 Retirees and in-service staff of RBI held a Silent Demonstration at RBI New Delhi on 7th march 14. They demanded Updation of Pension and Opening of Fresh Option for Pension at the call of United Forum of Reserve Bank Officers and Employees. The Directors of Central Board were handed over a detailed memorandum urging them to resolve the above demands outstanding for the last decade.
Governor met the representatives of United Forum of Reserve Bank Officers and Employees. He is stated to have assured that the Bank is making all out efforts to see that the issues are resolved soon. Later the leaders addressed the gathering and said that they may have to resort to agitation in case the issues are not settled soon as they feel frustrated by the dilatory approach of M/o finance.More Pictures below

In view of the declaration of General Elections and last meeting of the Finance Minister with RBI,the Govt may positively consider and the Governor may announce, after the Board meeting, opening of Pension and updation of Pension with the concurrence of Central Board/Finance Minister.Unfortunately,the waiting continues.May be till formation of next Government and new Finance Minister.
Let us continue to fight for for our genuine Cause.Thanks to the Retirees and working staff who have gathered in large numbers to demonstrate in New Delhi Office.
